Hey! My name's Jp, and I'm a recent Computer Science graduate trying to break into the world of design.

I want to focus on the web and create scalable design systems, but I'm more than willing to explore other niche because I don't know how many opportunities will appear. At the end of the day, experience is experience. As long as I get to learn a lot of things and improve my craft, I'll be more than happy.

I'm aware that it's a little odd that I have a CS degree, and even though design goes hand in hand with programming, especially when building products, CS is still not the best course to take for the career I want to build. However, I had to accept reality. I switched career interest at the start of my junior year, and by that time, I figured it wasn't smart to drop my studies and change course because I didn't want to spend an extra two years and more money for a different piece of paper (and also I had already made great friends). I thought to myself, "I'll just finish this and focus more on everything design-related, whether inside or outside my field of studies". So here I am, with a little under a year of actual experience and lots of time on my hands, eager to apply my skills in the real world and improve experiences through my design.
